Sport drink for Fitness

Hello, this is me again, now for this time i really want to write about sport drink, why? cause one day when i go to my gym, and my friend gym, i always see, they selling a sport drink, and it caught by my eyes. I began to questioning my self, did this kind of drink is really helpfull for body builder or it will give a negative effect? So due to my curiosity, i began to researching about this kind of drink, and try to search what the effect and composition of this kind of drink.
From one of my research through google, Sport drink industry have already become a big industry during 2000 until 2005, they grew about 48% during this year, and their sales reach $6.1 million (excluding sales from walmart). this is one sign that proved many people that have a fitness livestyle consumed this kind of drink in hope that they can get a good benefit from this kind of drink. Do they really help you as an body builder or they doesn’t have any effect for us?
For the First, let us try to think, what is the purpose of sport drink? the answer is easy, thepurpose of sport drink’s is to rehydrated your self when you have an excessive workout, that make you lose some water and electrolytes such as sodium and potassium. In addition, sports drinks contain sugars in the form of sucrose, glucose, or fructose which have the function of replacing lost carbohydrate store and serve as a source of energy during an intense workout.. It’s been shown that the loss of as little as two percent of your bodily fluid during exercise can result in decreased exercise performance.
So bassically, if don’t do a high intense work out, i suggest you don’t drink sport drink, Why? Cause if you drink it, it will hinder your weight loss, cause it contain a high calorie that supposedly been use to replace your energy that have been lost during the high intense excercise.
But if you running outdoor or participate in a high intense work out, the sport drink will really help you by providing you an energy that you need to keep your energy level at top so you can sustain high level workout. Are there any disadvantages to the use of sports drinks during running and other vigorous exercise? One problem encountered with the use of sports drinks, other than the high caloric content, is the fact that drinking fluids can cause bloating which may reduce your performance during an exercise session. This sports drink effect can be reduced by drinking smaller amounts of your chosen drink more frequently.
Many kind of sports drinks also contain the carbohydrate fructose which in some studies has been linked to an increased risk or heart disease. When choosing a sports drink, it’s best to avoid one that has fructose or high fructose corn syrup listed as an ingredient. Many sports drinks also contain citric acid which has the potential to erode tooth enamel. For this reason, you should drink a sports drink with a straw as quickly as possible to avoid prolonged contact of the liquid with your teeth.
As you can see, the effects of sports drinks are mostly positive in that they help to prevent serious loss of fluids and electrolytes as well as help to maintain good exercise performance. If you choose the right sports drink and use it appropriately, your running and exercise performance may be enhanced and your sports performance improved.
So it doesn’t matter if you want consume it if you have a high level work out, and choose the right sport drink to drink……SUCCESS IS WITHIN YOUSELF!!!
